ADMISSIONS
It is the policy of
the St. Paul's Catholic School Board that admission to St. Paul's Catholic
School will be according to the following standards:
1.
Families interested in enrolling their child(ren) at St. Paul's Catholic School
should look for the publication ofregistration information and times in the
Church Bulletin during the month of December. Generally, Registration for
the following school year will begin the first week of January.
2.
Parents must complete a school inquiry form during the proper registration
period in January relative to each family, i.e. In-House Registration Period -
Families already enrolled at St. Paul's Catholic School, Parish Registration
Period - Families who are active or in-active parishioners and do not yet
have a child enrolled at St. Paul's Catholic School, Out-of-Parish
Registration Period - for those families who are Catholic but are not
members of St. Paul's Catholic Church & Non-Catholic Families.
(Families unable to register during the designated period in the month of
January will be prioritized based upon date of registration.)
3.
All available spaces, y grade, shall be filled as follows (in priority order):
a. Siblings of children already in good standing
attending St. Paul's Catholic School.
b. Children of faculty at St. Paul's Catholic
School.
c. Children in good academic standing of families
previously enrolled at St. Paul's Catholic School who were transferred to
another location and are returning to the Jacksonville area.
d. Children or Grandchildren residing with Grandparent
of Active Parishioners: Priority will be determined upon length of time
that the family has been registered and active in the parish.
"Registered" is defined as the date that the family submitted a parish
registration form to the parish office. Active" is defined by parents
who are supporters through Sunday collections on a regular basis, using
envelopes as evidence of support.
e. Children or Grandchildren residing with
Grandparent of In-Active Parishioners: Families who are supporters of the
Sunday collections on an irregular basis, using envelopes as evidence.
Priority will be determined upon the time period when envelopes were being
utilized at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
f. Out-Of-Parish Families: Families who are
Catholic and are active or in-active parishioners of another Catholic Church
(Letter provided by pastor of Parish showing active or in-active status).
g. Non-Catholic Families.

New students along with their parents will schedule a meeting with the school
principal following notification of available classroom opening and will need to
provide copies of past report cards for the previous three years along with
achievement test results.
5.
New students in grades 1-8 must complete an entrance exam and score 70 percent
or above in reading and math. (Entrance tests are given on a specific day
during the week immediately following the end of school are are offered again on
a specific day during the second week of August.) Once the student has
passed the entrance exam and has had an interview with the school principal
determining that St. Paul's Catholic School will be able to meet his/her
educational needs, families will be asked to pay the registration fee and
complete all required documents. At .this time, the student will be
admitted to St. Paul's Catholic School. (Registration fees are
non-refundable.)

Financial:
Tuition is due on the first school day of the month
August through May. This is a period of 10 months so 120th of your
family's tuition rate makes up your monthly obligation. A late fee of
$10.00 will be applied to all tuition payments received after the 10th of the
month. Scholarships for need are granted only to those family who apply
yearly through Private Aid Service and are found to be in need of
assistance. Contact the school office for application.

All student wear school uniforms purchased through
Fontaine Apparel: P.O. Box 4410, Clearwater, FL 333758.

Car
Pool:
Each family is asked to complete a carpool information
form that includes all students (whether it is one of six) who will be riding in
your vehicle during the year. Carpool numbers will be assigned based upon
the youngest child in each carpool and maps and explanations will be provided
showing parents the correct dismissal procedure. (See online handbook for
arrival/dismissal procedures.)
Sick
or absent children:
Please call school by 9:00 am if your child is sick or
absent for any reason.
