You can also submit flyers you would like to see distributed to school families to Mrs. Boice for approval, according to the new Flyer distribution rules available to you in our school office.

Not all flyers will be sent via e-mail, however, the majority of our school flyers will be available to you via e-mail.

LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEES….

Thursday, February 21st. Eileen Brown, School Board Member and Chairperson of the Long-Range Planning Project held a meeting with parents and teachers who had expressed an interest to serve on specific long range planning committees. We would like to thank the parents and teachers who attended this meeting and shared their ideas and began the development process of our hopes and dreams for the future of St. Paul’s Catholic School. Four Committees were established and if you are interested in participating in the future development of these plans, please give our Chair-Persons a call. Your input is welcome.

GRANT WRITING COMMITTEE CHAIR-PERSON: Mr. Peter Braza

Mr. Braza now has five members serving on his committee. If you have special knowledge in the area of Grant Writing and would like to share your expertise, please call the school office and we will pass along your name to Mr. Braza so you will get the details of future committee meetings.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE CHAIR-PERSON: Mrs. Jill Kapron

The fund-raising committee now has five members. They have already held the first meeting and their next meeting is scheduled to be held March 11th, 6:30 p.m., at the home of Tammy Cronin.

CAFETERIA/KITCHEN COMMITTEE ACTING CHAIR-PERSON: Mrs. Veronica DiMare

This committee has already begun investigating possibilities for a future hot-lunch program and renovating the school’s cafeteria and kitchen. Presently, we have six members on this committee.

PLAYGROUND/INTRAMURALS COMMITTEE CHAIR-PERSON: Mrs. Mary Phillips

Presently we have three members on this committee. They have chosen to include in this committee the area of Intramurals for our students. Mrs. Phillips would like to invite anyone interested in working in the area of Intramurals to join this committee.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN JOINING THESE COMMITTEES MAY CALL THE SCHOOL OFFICE TO EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST. YOUR NAME WILL BE GIVEN TO THE COMMITTEE CHAIR-PERSON SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO OBTAIN FUTURE INFORMATION ABOUT COMMITTEE MEETINGS.

DIOCESAN MUSIC FESTIVAL…

Parents are welcome to come to the Annual Diocesan Choral Festival to be held at the University of North Florida Arena on Thursday, March 7th at 7:00 p.m. Ms. Card will be taking a group from St. Paul’s to sing in this wonderful event along with some of our Advanced Band Students, and violinists. We will be joining over 700 other students from across the Diocese, including students from Bishop Kenny and St. Joseph’s Academy. This is truly a wonderful experience. The performance lasts approximately 1 hour and would be a special event for everyone to remember. Please take the time from your busy schedule and join us! You will be so glad that you did!

WE HONOR THE

6TH MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11TH

Recently we received an e-mail from the National Beta Club of St. Charles Elementary School in Youngstown, Ohio. They are sponsoring a time of remembrance for the victims of September 11th on the 6th month anniversary. Schools from each time zone will participate at a different clock time so that we’re all sharing in the remembrance

at the same time. Eastern time will be 1:30 p.m. Our children will be asked to pray an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Glory Be.

ST. JOSEPH’S ACADEMY VISIT…

Our 8th Grade students will be visiting St. Joseph’s Academy on Wednesday, March 20th. They will be attending their Spring Play, "Our Miss Brooks" by Christopher Sergel. Students will also be provided lunch as well as a tour of the new school facilities.

S.G.A. ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

FOR KINDERGARTEN & 1ST GRADE…

Wednesday, March 27th, Kindergarten and 1st Grade will enjoy a special easter egg hunt sponsored by our St. Paul’s Student Government Association. Students will be searching for eggs and will receive lolly pops. The student who finds the "Golden Egg" will receive a chocolate bunny!

St. Patrick’s Day Raffle

The St. Paul’s Athletic Department is sponsoring the St. Patrick’s Day Raffle. Be on the look-out for these raffle tickets. The proceeds from this raffle go to the Mendenhall Scholarship Fund, which provides two scholarships each year, to studentj-athletes attending either Bishop Kenny or St. Joseph’s Academy. (Students must make application for this scholarship in order to be eligible.)
