THANKSGIVING BASKETS

Each year in November St. Paul's provides Thanksgiving dinner for 18 needy families.  We ask every homeroom class to collect food items and $1.00 from each student.  The money is used to purchase Winn Dixie SCRIP so that fresh turkeys can be bought for each family.  Usually, teachers will ask each child to bring in a specific food item.  This ensures that the family will have all they need for a complete dinner.  Our St. Paul's families are so generous that we usually have enough food in each basket for several meals.

BEAM picks the baskets up and delivers them to local families.  The students and teachers enjoy collecting and arranging the baskets.  The day before our Thanksgiving break you can find the beautifully decorated, overflowing baskets lining the hallways.
